WILL SMITH & JADEN SMITH CAST IN M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN SCI FI MOVIE

Will Smith and his son Jaden will be co-starring in an action movie directed by M. Night.  Hopefully this project will turn out better than the Last Airbender which won several razzies for worst screenplay and acting.
Sony Pictures Entertainment announced on Monday that Will Smith will join his son, Jaden, onscreen in an untitled sci-fi film for director M. Night Shyamalan. According to the studio, the film is set 1,000 years in the future, where a young boy navigates an abandoned and sometimes scary Earth to save himself and his estranged father after their ship crashes. Said Shyamalan in a release: "The chance to make a scary, science-fiction film starring Jaden and Will is my dream project." (The younger Smith first hinted at the prospect of the project to EW last November, when it had the title 1000 A.E.)
Shyamalan, most famously the director of 1999′s The Sixth Sense, has had some troubles with critics and at the box office lately (see: The Last Airbender) and could certainly use some of the Smith family's box-office fire power. Will Smith and Shyamalan will produce the film along with James Lassiter, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Ken Stovitz. The screenplay is by Shyamalan and Gary Whitta (The Book of Eli).[EW]

President Barack Obama announced that he is running for re-election.

Barack Obama has formally launched his campaign for re-election to the White House next year, hoping to raise a record-breaking $1bn (£620m) in funds as the Republicans struggle to find a clear challenger for the presidency. Obama made the announcement in an email that reached out to disenchanted Democrats whom he needs to campaign for him even though they feel he has been insufficiently progressive.
Although the election is set for Tuesday 6 November 2012, Obama is anxious to create a campaign organisation at least as efficient as the one in 2008 and to begin gathering enough funds now to outspend the Republicans in advertising, just as he did last time.
If Obama were to lose the election, the Republicans would dismantle his healthcare reforms, due to start in 2014.
He said: “We’ve always known that lasting change wouldn’t come quickly or easily. It never does.
“But as my administration and folks across the country fight to protect the progress we’ve made – and make more – we also need to begin mobilising for 2012, long before the time comes for me to begin campaigning in earnest.”
Many analysts predict Obama will win a second term, given the tendency of Americans to re-elect the incumbent. But others are more cautious, suggesting the result will be close and largely dependent on the state of the economy.
Brad Coker, director of Mason-Dixon polling, said it was far from a foregone conclusion. “I would put his chances of re-election at 50-50,” he said. “Obviously, his popularity has suffered in a number of areas. The economy has been a little slow to recover. That is the linchpin. If the economy continues to improve, his chances improve greatly; if there are more bumps on the road, he has a problem. The little adventure in Libya is not helping him.“[GUARDIAN UK]

HOT 97 DJ MISTER CEE ARRESTED FOR LEWD ACTS MUGSHOT PHOTO

A popular Hot 97 Deejay was arrested for allegedly being orally pleasured in his car.  Funk Master Flex denied the rumors as being  false on his blog, however, the rumors were later proven to be true when an arrest record surfaced online.

HOT 97- Throwback at Noon w/ Mister Cee and 50 Cent

DJ Mister Cee spun records at his normal hour of noon this afternoon on Hot 97′s "Old School at Noon." Cee declined to mention anything regarding the rumors swirling around his arrest for lewd conduct with an alleged 20-year-old man. A few hours after his mix-show was over, Cee took to Twitter and opened an account, @real_mistercee. He said he opened the twitter account to address all his "haters."
Update (Monday 11 a.m.): The story that set the internet on fire last night has now been confirmed as DJ Mr. Cee's arrest record is available online. Cee, real name Calvin Lebrun, was released later that day on his own recognizance after being arrested for lewd conduct with an alleged male in his car. Whether Cee was involved in lewd conduct with a man or woman has yet to be determined.
Rumors of Mr. Cee engaging in homosexual activity have run rampant for years with Wendy Williams indirectly referring to him on her radio show. Lebrun's fellow HOT97 DJ, Funkmaster Flex, took to his blog last night to deny the story, however Lebrun's arrest record is available online. After being slammed on blog sites and twitter last night,  Mister Cee reported to work at Hot 97 in New York earlier today and served up a crazy throwback at noon mix. A funny thing happened to Nicki Minaj on Sunday during the I Am Still Music Tour when she headed to give a lucky fan a lap dance: Her boss, Lil Wayne, ran from backstage at Long Island, New York‘s Nassau Coliseum and plopped down in the seat. The Pink Friday star’s showstopping move suddenly turned into a must-see moment. “Well, I have to say, I been giving lap dances [during the tour], but I didn’t know Wayne was gonna jump out and pop out the back,” Nicki told MTV News. “I literally was up there trying to get a boy, then I turn around and I see this cute little dread in the chair with his legs dangling off. And I was like, ‘What?’ I was super nervous.”

Wayne hammed it up and pulled his best Gene Simmons impersonation with his tongue darting out of his diamond-encrusted mouth as his protégé sauntered over in a pink and white catsuit. After a few quick pelvic thrusts in front of Weezy, she smiled, then returned to her dancers to resume their choreography. The affair was one of the evening’s highlights, but ultimately, it proved to be more nightclub than gentleman’s club. “It’s just the essence of a lap dance,” Nicki said of her routine. “Now, the down and dirty? CHARLIE SHEEN BOO’D IN DETROIT REVAMPS TORPEDO OF TRUTH TOUR IN CHICAGO

Charlie Sheen isn’t “winning” on his nationwide tour. The Two and a Half men actor was greeted with boo’s and massive walk outs by disappointed fans in Detroit. Why is everyone disappointed when there is no structure in Charlie’s chaotic act. The audience  is paying to watch him meltdown on the stage which shouldn’t be considered entertainment.

There’s a couple things here I’ve got to f–king work out,” said the erstwhile Two and a Half Men star. “I don’t know if I start the show alone and it turns into this [a Q&A format] or I just say with this ’cause it’s f–king working and we’ll f–king return to it if I don’t.”

By this, Sheen means the much more raw and real presentation he gave in the Windy City, which saw him fielding questions from an interviewer and the occasional fan and telling stories about his surreal celebrity life.

Gone were the opening standup act, the pseudo-presidential Warlock address call to arms, YouTube clips, videos, and rap bits that drew scathing reactions from fans and press alike.

On a high after the much improved reception he received last night, Sheen said that he was thinking about integrating more Q&A with the crowd in future shows, though he admitted that how much “truth” he’ll dish out to them depends on his mood and the question.

“We’ve already got [questions] submitted and we say, you know, so-and-so from f–king Bakersfield or Loserville, F–king Michigan, wants to know,” he said. “Then it’s like, ‘Yeah, I don’t feel like talking about that’ [or] ‘You know, that’s a really good f–king question, wow.” ‘

The unemployed actor also talked about how he adjusted on the fly after the disaster that was Detroit, reworking his entire act.

“Yeah, we talked about it on the bus coming back, tons of input, then when I got  back to the hotel and I wrote, we started writing, just to get some thoughts out, some feelings out, just some stuff that would be interesting, just stories, you know, themes, whatever, just bullet points,” said Sheen.

He continued: “I was up till about 5, 6:30 [in the morning], kept working on it, came here at 8:30, sat on the stage, looked out, came up with just the chair idea and we started talking about it…the interview thing. And then I went back and took a two-hour nap and came here and did it. Yeah, so there was a moment on the bus when it was like, we can just keep going, we can drive home.”[E!]
